Moving Deliverable Stages and Adjusting Due Dates

Things happen! Shipping gets delayed, your legal team is taking forever to approve copy, product launch dates change on a dime – we've seen it all! In this Brkaway Brkdown we’ll share how you can update Deliverable Due Dates and Deliverable stages when the unexpected happens to keep you and your creators on the same page.

Updating Due Dates

When your schedule gets interrupted for a Collab you created, updating due dates on Brkaway is a breeze! Simply head to the Deliverable and:

1. Click the More Actions button at the top of the page
2. Select Edit Due Dates
3. Add, remove or update the dates you need changed.

Changes are logged in the Comments section so your creator is aware of the due date changes.

Manually Moving Stages

An occasion may arise where you want to manually move a deliverable to a subsequent stage. If this happens simply click the “Set as current stage” button next to the stage you want to move the deliverable to. This will automatically move the deliverable to that stage.

When moving stages there are a couple of important things to consider:

1. As you move a Deliverable forward through your content pipeline, any stage with a due date you bypass will be marked as completed.
2. When you move a Deliverable back through your content pipeline, you will be asked for updated Due Dates for any reopened stages.

Changing Dates and Stages when the Creator created the Collab

If you are working on a Deliverable that is owned by a creator you will not be able to change due dates and stages directly. You can, however, propose new due dates. To do this simply head to the Deliverable and:

1. Click the More Actions button at the top of the page
2. Select Propose New Due Dates
3. Enter the due dates you want to have moved.

The creator will be notified and can approve your alternate dates. When the creator approves or denies your request, you will receive a notification. All changes will be logged in the Comments. 

If you did not create the Collab, you will not be able to manually move Deliverable stages.
